Halloween falls on a Saturday this year! Here are some practical tips to help keep kids and families safe:

• Go in groups: Walk with friends or family, ideally with an adult.

• Watch for traffic: Drivers may have trouble seeing kids in costumes.

• Walk, don’t run: Remind kids to stay on sidewalks and cross at corners.

• Use reflective gear

• Inspect candy before eating

• Costumes: choose flame-resistant materials when possible

• Don’t drink and drive: Use rideshare or a designated driver
